Game of Thrones review

Posted : 7 years, 8 months ago on 17 September 2016 01:16 (A review of Game of Thrones)

A production that arouses quite multifarious emotions while you deep in its raw nature. It has nothing to envy to Hollywood productions or series of similar appearance. Based on the novels by George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones it offers an epic premise that allows cross a border of insane maturity in the world of fantasy.

Those who grew up with Tolkien would can taste the passage of human adulthood with this work; since its development, characters and plot so devilishly drizzled with blood, sex and insane behavior, allow you to see a kind of Lord of The Rings on steroids. From the colossal premise of the seven kingdoms, starting from Kingslanding to Winterfell, to each of the families and their characteristics. Power disputes, arranged marriages, bloody battles, all that can be found just around the corner, surrounded by the backdrop of a brutal threat that comes with winter, makes this work one of the best literary adaptations of the 21 century.

Did I forget to say that Tirion Lannister is a badass in every sense of the word? if so, as I said.

Excellent story, very well built characters, absorbing subplots, excellent performances from the entire cast, amazing special effects (For a series of TV, that's saying a lot) and a masterful handling of a dense literary plot written by one of the best writers of modern fantasy.

To be honest, Game of Thrones has absolutely nothing to envy to the most puritanical of Tolkien fans. The great father of the ring of power has its charm, but his puritanical magic and embellished by its christianly symbolic nature pales before this most carnal and human of midland display.

A complete masterpiece!
